Position Summary

Build a future in golf and luxury hospitality through hands-on experience at Nemacolin, where you will work across two distinguished Pete Dye-designed courses and a state-of-the-art golf academy. As a Golf Operations Intern, you will be immersed in the daily rhythm of a premier resort golf operation, creating memorable guest experiences while gaining exposure to tournaments, large-scale group buyouts, instruction, course operations, and the demands of a high-volume seasonal environment. Throughout this paid, 12-week internship, you will work alongside experienced golf professionals, develop practical industry skills, and complete an experiential project that connects your academic goals with real-world experience.

What You Will Create

  • Exceptional golf experiences as you welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and deliver polished, personalized service from arrival through their time on the course
  • A seamless daily operation as you organize tee sheets, respond to guest needs, stage the golf cart fleet, and help ensure each day is prepared with precision and efficiency
  • A well-paced course experience as you monitor pace of play and develop daily recaps that provide insight into operational performance
  • Tournament experiences executed with precision as you support tournament setup and help transform daily operations to meet the needs of groups and large-scale buyouts
  • Meaningful instructional experiences as you support weekly group lessons and gain practical exposure to golf instruction through The Nemacolin Golf Academy
  • A prepared, inviting practice environment as you support driving range operations and help create a consistent experience for guests developing their game

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Currently enrolled as an upperclassman (or recent graduate) of a bachelor’s degree program in hospitality, sports management, or a related discipline
  • Prior experience with and knowledge of the sport of golf
  • Continuous authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship
  • Fluent English language proficiency required
  • Ability to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support operations during peak periods of the season
